Description

Covered cups were widely used in the Germanic regions in the 16th and 17th centuries. This work is an unusual variant, characterized by a cup shaped like a high chalice.
Heinrich Eichler, a renowned goldsmith, worked in particular on the exceptional Prunkkabinet preserved at the Braunschweig Museum (Kunstmuseum des Landes Niedersachsen, inv. n° 71).
